The Benefits
Strong, Flexible, Resistant and Effective
SIPs are a building product that combines the strength of fibre cement with the outstanding thermal and fire retardant qualities of polyurethane foam. The noise reduction capability makes SIPs ideal to reduce traffic noise, the neighbour’s lawn mower and for our rural customers, the crow of the roosters.
SIPs innate strength and load bearing capabilities makes them ideal for minimal frame building methods in a wide range of structures including quality homes, insulated stockfeed sheds, garages, classrooms, clinics and granny flats or, as we like to refer to them as, mini homes.
Usage of SIPs
SIPs are used for a wide range of construction applications including:
-
homes and granny flats,
-
commercial buildings including internal walls in multiple floor structures,
-
shopping centres,
-
warehouses and sheds.
SIPs are finished modular building components which:
-
are structurally engineered, cyclone coded and insulated to a R rating of wall (5.02) and roof/floor (4.17)
-
offer simple, quick and cost-efficient construction with minimal framing and flexible design options (a standard 3 bedroom home can be delivered to lock-up in 12 working days representing considerable savings on labour)
-
are energy efficient, providing fire, vermin and termite resistance
-
are vandalism resistant
-
deliver noise suppression of up to 27%.
Product performance test results can be provided on request.
SIPs provide a design flexible building solution combining the strength of fibre-cement or powder coated steel with the outstanding thermal and sound insulation qualities of polyurethane foam.
Structural Engineers Certification Report in August 2020 on the following features:
-
racking of walls,
-
cyclic testing of walls
-
compression load testing of walls, floor panel testing
-
static tensile loading of glue joints
-
roof panel testing, thermal performance
-
and fire resistance rating.
